If you fulfill your obligations everyday, you don’t need to worry about the future- Jordan B Peterson

That’s my quote for the day.

How easy is it to fulfill ALL our obligations? I’ve been finding it a lot harder these days. A few days ago, I decided to set some goals and if I’m completely honest with myself, the reason I decided to reset my goals in October is because work is taking a toll on my life.

The only thing I do is work or think about work. Before you get the wrong impression, I love my work and my clients but, one of my main clients and I are not seeing eye to eye.

He wants me to create content for 2 of his brands, make sure the content is doing well and also help him make sales using the content.

My idea is to create niche content that builds authority for his brands but his idea is to create general content that could potentially go viral. In this business, you should ideally do what your client wants even when you believe they’re wrong.

Never outshine your master. Always make those above you feel comfotably superior& make them appear more brilliant than they are and you’ll attain the heights of power. That’s the first law of power.

On the bright side, this client pays me well and even though I disagree with a lot of his ways, I still love what I do. And I get it wrong sometimes but he’s always there giving me chances. I guess it’s not as bad as I think it is.

Besides work, I’ve been taking design classes and writing this blog (this is more like therapy at this point). My love life is doing great and I moved back home.

Adulting can be a bitch sometimes but I’m doing the best I can and I think my life is pretty awesome. I should probably stop complaining.

Thanks for reading today’s rant. I’ll see you tomorrow. ❤
