Is “Fake it Till You Make It” Necessary To Build Personal Brand?

I’m one of those people who don’t believe in faking it until you make it. Why? Because I’ve tried faking it and it’s EXHAUSTING. Plus, I find it manipulative and don’t think it works in the long run.

Now now, I don’t believe in showing up on your videos looking crazy, try your best to look presentable. But don’t spend money you don’t have to buy clothes you can barely afford, to impress people you don’t even know. It’s not worth it.

There’s so much power in small beginnings. Allow your audience to see your growth. They will form stronger bonds with you that way.

Personal Branding is not about pretending to be a perfect person. It’s being real to the world with your flaws and fortes.– Bernard Kelvin Clive

When it comes to faking it until you make it, I find that a lot of people set standards that are unrealistic, especially at the beginning. People want to be seen as experts before putting in the sweat equity.

My point is; no one likes a fake. People gravitate towards those who are genuine because they know who they are dealing with and what sort of response they can expect.
