An Ex-Accountant Turned Marketer
I didn’t exactly plan to end up in marketing. I started in accounting, yup, with a finance degree, a certified public accountant, and the whole deal. I low-key hated it, but quitting wasn’t even on my radar.
Marketing felt like a side hobby, not a real path. But somewhere along the line, I realized I cared way more about the why behind the numbers than just balancing them.
Then one day, my boss casually drops, “Accountants don’t get pay raises, they don’t bring in money. Only marketing does.” I was mildly shocked but mostly like… yeah, figures.
At the time, I was already running a blog just for fun, nothing serious. Then the pandemic hit, and suddenly, everyone was looking for marketers. I landed a job as an assistant at a marketing agency, threw myself into it, and honestly? I haven’t looked back since. It wasn’t the plan, but it was absolutely the move.
And through it all, God’s had me. Every step, every pivot. He was there.
Where God guides, He provides, not always in the way you expect, but always in the way you need. Every twist, every detour, every “I have no idea what I’m doing” moment has been covered. It’s not about having the whole plan it’s about trusting the One who does.
